3. Colistin sulfate has strong antibacterial effect on aerobe, escherichia coli, haemophilus, klebsiella, pasteurella, pseudomonas aeruginosa, salmonella, shigella and other gram-negative bacteria.

4. Usually not sensitive to gram-positive bacteria; There was complete cross-resistance with polymyxin B, but not cross-resistance with other antibacterial agents.
